Automating shorcuts in Windows all programs

Hi guys!!

i want to know how to check for application shortcut is present or not under start menu->all programs->Application folder->AppShorcut.

OS - Windows server 2008 or XP not with win7

Example checking for mspaint shorcut under start menu->all programs

Note: i am not asking for launching the application just to verify the reqd shorcut is present or not.

Pls help me out.
